V-Ring Seals

V-ring seals in VA and VS profiles, stocked and supplied in Chennai by Raj Trading Corporation. A V-ring is an all rubber axial seal: it stretches onto the shaft, turns with it, and its flexible lip runs against a counterface such as a bearing housing, a washer or a plate. That makes it the seal for keeping dirt, dust, splash water and coolant out of a bearing rather than for holding pressure in, and it tolerates shaft runout and misalignment that a lip seal in a fixed housing will not. It is commonly fitted in front of an oil seal or a bearing as the outboard barrier. The VA profile runs from VA 003 to VA 200, covering shaft seats from 2.5 mm to 180 mm. The VS profile, a heavier section, runs from VS 005 to VS 199, covering 4 mm to 180 mm. Sizes on the list are written as inside diameter, outside diameter and section, for example 45*55*5.5/9, and each carries its own SOG number in the 600000 series for VA and the 610000 series for VS. The size list below carries every part code and dimension for both profiles; send the shaft diameter and the profile, or the part number stamped on the seal coming off, for a quotation.
